This is a string orchestra warm up with treble, viola and bass clef parts. This warm up can be used to work on the C Major scale, dotted quarter eighth note rhythms, four staccato eighth notes followed by two quarter notes, an eighth note followed by quarter note, eighth note tied to a quarter note and two eighth notes and lastly, three quarter notes followed by two eighth notes. These tricky syncopated rhythms can all be found in Clocks arranged by Robert Longfield which is a grade three string orchestra piece. Clocks is in the key of G Major while this warm-up is in the key of C Major. Despite the difference in key signatures this is a great warm-up for practicing the syncopated rhythms found in Clocks.
