~Students can work through the power point at their own pace that includes information over the structure of an atom. As they click through the power point they will be able to take notes and go back to reread if they need to. Once they reach the self paced test, they will choose an answer by clicking on it. If they are wrong they will be taken back to the question. When they choose the correct answer it will tell them so and explain why.
The beauty of this lesson is that students can work as quickly or as slowly as they need. It is focused around the structure of an atom. As a teacher, you can allow them to work independently and then evaluate them so they can move on to the next series (coming soon!). It is perfect if someone is absent and misses the lesson in class. Just simply put it up on a website for them to access (I can show you how to create very simple websites, too!)
Author's note: Understand that this is a power point and that the student can go at their own pace. It is up to you on how you use it. I have included a notes page to fill out as they go along. There are also practice questions for comprehension that includes writing prompts.
I hope you enjoy! Visit me at Redglasseslearning.weebly.com to see my classroom website and if you are looking for advice on how to create one yourself.
