This is a great game to practice structuring numbers to 10!
* Worksheet for each student
* Markers, crayons or colored pencils
* Bead rack (optional if students need extra support)
* A die with numerals 1,2,3,4,5,6
Directions: Students will roll a six sided die with numerals 1,2,3,4,5,6. The student must use their knowledge of structuring to combine the number they rolled with a number on the strip to make the target number. If they can structure a combination that makes the target number, they need to write the number below the number to make the correct combination. For example, if a student rolls a 3, they would write a 3 underneath the 6 where the 9 is the target number…..or they could write a 3 under the 7 where the 10 is the target number, etc. They need to roll a new number after each turn.
They can color a smiley face at the bottom when an entire row of combinations is complete!
