Job boxes are great for students as they have been able to do these tasks on their own and can develop increased independence. Independent job boxes also teach vocational skills and life skills, while emphasizing specific learning targets for the learner. When introducing a new job box, first teach it to the student during work with teacher time. Once the student has mastered the task, the job box moves into their independent work rotation of materials. This is a very easy to put together and very cheap to make, under $5.00!
