The success of student’s participation in the workplace and development of work-related skills depends largely on student’s ability to reflect on their learning throughout their experience.
This student reflection journal has been developed around skills employers find necessary. It has been designed to promote more critical thinking about skill development and a higher level of participation in the workplace, resulting in more successful outcomes for your students and enhanced prospects for post-school employment pathways.
It is a complete student booklet that includes information for student's on what to do once they've found a work placement, tips for success, employability skills information and self-assessment, space for student's to record details about their work placement, a first day workplace induction checklist, 10 daily reflection pages and an employer evaluation form.
Students should use this resource while participating in work placement. Smaller sections of this booklet including the Student Work Placement Daily Reflections and Employability / Work Skills Student Self Assessment produced by Bec Allan from TAP are also available separately.
