In this engaging and thorough lab activity, students learn about structure and function of fungi.
Please note: This lab is also part of my Year of Biology Labs- BIG BUNDLE!.
Students begin by making external observations of a mushroom. Then they dissect the mushroom and observe the gills, hyphae, spores, and basidia. Drawings of each are made on the student worksheet.
Conclusion questions are provided at the end of the activity, as well as a Venn diagram to compare plants and fungi.
