I have created a behavior chart in order to create quick communication between yourself and parents. Everyday, I would stamp my students if they had good behavior and followed the procedures in each of the areas. If they did not receive their stamp, then the parents knew the student had not behaved as expected for that part of that school day. One day per week, I sent home the behavior chart to be signed so the parents knew how the child had behaved that week. They had to sign off each week. We set a number and if the students received X number of stamps in X number of days, they were rewarded with free time or a party or some other incentive. This also allows students to monitor their behavior and take responsibility of their own actions.
