The concept of the mole is often very problematic for many students. In my experience, one of the main stumbling blocks is due to pacing. As teachers, we sometimes move on to the next level of difficulty before certain students have mastered the previous content. With the mole, that's where things fall apart.
This worksheet can be used as a teaching tool, as it explains introductory level concepts such as how to determine molar mass, how to determine the number of moles given a mass, and how to determine the number of molecules and atoms in a particular number of moles or in a particular mass. Explanations are simple and in student-friendly language.
Most importantly, the worksheet breaks the concepts down into "levels" to be mastered, almost video game style, with multiple examples.
A complete and detailed answer key is included.
