To begin the process, I always start with a predictable class chart that my class completes together. The class chart then hangs in our chart center where students can practice reading it.
I then have each student create a page for a class book that uses the language from the predictable chart. Most of the books require that students fill in their names before creating the illustrations. However, many of these books also allow for differentiation. I've included additional pages that have missing sight words for students to fill in!
*Each book comes with 2 full-color covers- one for kindergarten and one for first grade.
