This data notebook allows students to take ownership of their learning and behavior.
The data notebook includes 86 pages of cover pages, charts, reflection sheets, and student conferencing pages. See the full list below...
I'm a Leader section
-This section includes pages to place the school mission statement, create a class and personal mission statement. There is also a job "application" so students can take more ownership in the classroom. You can purchase my "Smelly Sock Time" jobs to implement this in your classroom-
Rate yourself Section
-This section includes a 4 finger rating chart and a page to place standards, pre and post assessments with a rate it/date it column.
CCSS Checklist section
-This is the cover page only so it can be used for multiple grades. I have already created a kindergarten checklist and will be making more- https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Kindergarten-CCSS-Checklist-1359154
Student led conferences section
-Here you will find pages for students to fill out to lead their own parent teacher conferences. Students will reflect on how they feel about school, provide their grades alongside why they feel they got this grade and action steps for improving. Students will also identify their strengths and weaknesses and create academic goals. You will also find checklists for students to fill out about their work habits and behavior. Lastly, students will create a priority goal and identify the actions or people that will help them accomplish the goal, whether it be a personal, social, or behavioral goal.
You will find cover pages and graphs/ documenting pages for the following subjects or skills:
attendance, literacy (or reading cover page), writing, math, science, history, social studies. The reading section includes charts to graph reading levels, AR, comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, fry words checklist for words 1-400 so it could be used across multiple grade levels, and spelling scores. The math section includes charts for scores, but it also includes charts for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fact fluency. There are graphs for the other subjects only and I have also including a blank heading one so you can personalize it if needed.
Goals and Reflection Section
- I have created goals and reflection pages to do each week or each month. Students will choose what type of goal (academic, behavioral, social, or emotional) and then list their action steps. For the reflection page students will think about what they did well with and what they could have done better on. Then they decide if they accomplished their goals or still improving on them. Then they will rate their work from last week. I have also included goal pages specifically by subjects if you use a conferencing style method in your classroom.
Work I am proud of section
-This is just the cover page. Students can place notes, tests, work, etc in this section in order to provide evidence or to reflect on past work.
