I got the idea for this from looking at another TpT store (Jamie Cook). I made mine into a little card for convenience. There's eight cards to a page with a divider in the middle so you don't make a cutting mistake.
Use: For the students to communicate if they need help or if they can work independently.
1. Print and laminate cards.
2. Use tape or Velcro adhesive to attach to desks.
3. Use tiny or regular clothes pins to point to the symbol.
4. Discuss with students what each symbol means and how to use the clothespin.
Help: I need some support from the teacher.
OK: I think I can do this on my own but I might need help soon.
thumbs up: I'm good to go! I can handle this.
This 'cuing system' will be a quiet way for students to communicate their needs without 10 people raising their hands or coming up to you.
