The teachers at my school wanted a way for students to track their progress in learning the Common Core State Standards. I created these Interactive Notebook Checklists so that students can periodically self-assess with a Growth Mindset. The I Can statements are in kid-friendly language with three columns for self-assessment: progressing (not yet), proficient (I'm getting it!), and mastery (I've got this!). Students can enter dates, checks, or color in each box as the teacher sees fit. These 8 1/2 x 11 sheets for student notebooks are coded to the standards and are on ten pages: Functions/Building Functions and Linear, Quadratic & Exponential Models (together on one page), Functions Interpreting Functions (two pages), Creating Equations and Arithmetic with Polynomials (together on one page), Interpreting Categorical and Quantitative Data, Quantities, Reasoning with Equations and Inequalities, Real Number System, Seeing Structure in Expressions, and the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
