This is just the front page of my student goals folder. The student and I discuss their goals and write it down on this page.
Keep track of your students' progress throughout the year by starting a Goals Folder. This will help your students take more responsibility for their learning and you will have better organized data for report cards, parent conferences, SPED referral meetings, etc. Just print the pages and add to a folder or binder and get started.
I just started using "Goals" folders this year and it has really helped me know where my students are so I can teach more intentionally. Plus it has caused my students to become more invested in their own learning. They are "only" five or six, but each one can tell you what their learning goals are. They are all excited each time they accomplish a goal, and highly motivated to keep going. If your school and administrators are talking about "growth mindset" and "personalized learning", then this is a perfect way to incorporate those concepts into your classroom.
