As an adult I love being able to stop and reflect on my life, circumstances, feelings, and choices. Being able to do so helps me understand what makes me “tick” and shows me how I got to where I am. Q & A Each Day allows kiddos the same opportunity. For every school day, you are presenting your students with a question that provides the opportunity for them to remember a specific moment in their lives. The questions are highly engaging questions that students love answering and sharing. A month later, they return to the same question and answer it again. At the end of the school year both your students and their families will have a collection of their thoughts that show personality, growth, and change.
Each prompt takes less than 5 minutes to answer and is the perfect, quick addition to your morning, or end of the day routines.
TO MAKE: Simply choose 20(ish) of the 35 prompts. I choose 20 dues to 5 days in a school week x about 4 solid weeks in a month. Feel free to use less, or more depending on your school calendar. Run copies front to back, hole punch, and place in a folder with brads, or small 3 ring binder for each student.
Each day your students will write the date under the current month and then write their short response in the space that follows. You will be amazed not only with what your students will share over the course of a year, but also how much they grow and change.
