Students can become more invested in their learning by setting their own learning goals. At the beginning of the year, I ask my students what they want to get better at during the upcoming school year. Students can either write their goal areas or non-writers can cut and paste the visuals provided. I keep these in my student data folders and check back in on their progress with students periodically. I also like to share these with parents during parent/teacher/student goal-setting conferences at the beginning of the year.
