Start back to school on the right note by focusing your students on their learning. One of the most important parts of the learning process is self-reflection. It really doesn't matter what mark and/or feedback you give your students if they don’t spend some time thinking about their strengths as students, as well as the things they need to do to improve.
This learning log will be a place for them to do just that. They can use it to record interesting ideas, things that they’ve learned and questions they would like to explore. It will also be a place for them to set learning goals and to record reminders for themselves about what skills they need to work on, as well as the ones they have mastered. Ideally, this learning log will help them to become more independent as they become active participants in the learning process.
