Do your students struggle to take responsibility for their own learning, and clarify exactly what they need to be learning? This resource is a template for Keeping Track of Learning Student Objectives and Vocabulary for a unit. The teacher completes the unit title or topic, and objectives. Students then rate themselves on each objective on a descriptive scale and then use these ratings to guide their studying, ask questions, etc.. They can also add in any notes or evidence from the class that they want to use to help remember the topic.
Included are spaces to write up to 16 objectives for one unit/topic. Also included are two pages of vocabulary (up to 30 words). Again, the teacher (or student) can fill in the vocabulary. Students can then fill in the definition and an example or picture. These can be used in any subject area to review concepts, vocabulary, or facts.
This file is a PDF with form fields so that the formatting will stay constant. Since these are editable PDF's, they could be filled in by the teacher and then printed, or could be distributed to students electronically and students could type into the PDF.
