This open-ended, student-led project includes a proposal page, a list of possible book project ideas, and a grading rubric.
Your students will have a blast designing their own project using this simple "Book Project Proposal" document.
Once your students finish a book (whether it be a guided reading, literature circle, or independent reading book), allow them to come up with their own project. Before they begin, hand them a Book Project Proposal page for them to plan their project. Once terms are agreed upon, students and teachers sign off on the proposal and students get to work designing something to showcase to the class.
If students are having difficulty coming up with ideas, use the page of project ideas!
When presentation time rolls around, pull out the easy-to-use grading rubric that can fit any project!
