If you are ending the year with a student-led conference, here is a script you can use to guide students through the process. This resource provides space for students to
A. Greet their attendees
B. Explain their favorite and most challenging book in the year
C. Provide test data that illustrates their progress
D. Show off favorite work and explain the learning targets met in the work samples
E. Illustrate a concept that they improved over the course of the year.
F. Set goals for next year
I wrote this script for my reading students, so it focuses primarily on reading skills. We also use STAR and BAS tests in my school, so those are the assessments specifically mentioned in the script. However, I have left the product as a word document so that you can make adjustments to the text and personalize it to fit your class.
If you have never done student-led conferences before, look for my Student-Led Conference bundle for extra guidance!
