These are some of the resources that I gave to my students to prepare for their Student-Led Portfolio Conferences. Students prepare work (both that they did well meeting learning targets, and could have improved on) and reflect on their work using the reflection sheet that I have included. I have my students identify specific learning targets and reflect on how well they have met each target.
Students also reflect on their work habits, standardized test scores, and classroom assessments. This packet includes the student reflection sheet, and a script that I have to help them guide their conference. My students are in 7th grade and are not completely comfortable with Student Led Conferences so the script helps to ease some of the anxiety.
If you have not tried student led conferences before, they are a great way for students to reflect on their learning. They also hold students accountable for what they are doing (or not doing) at school.
