Looking for a writing activity to use for Valentine's Day? This poetry writing project goes along great with the book Vulture Verses by Diane Lang. After reading the book to the class, you can have your students write their own original poems to “unloved” creatures. You can use the forms provided for the students to write and illustrate their poem. Then choose a cover to bind them all together in a class book that they can read over and over again!
Includes 3 options for writing/illustrations and 4 options for the cover.
