I love these collaborative books and can’t wait to use them this year!!
This is a set of 4 student generated classroom books that can be read over and over.
#1 ‘Children, Children, Who Do You See?’
Students write their names and draw a self portrait.
#2 ‘Who Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?’
Students draw a self portrait eating or with a cookie and print their name.
#3 ‘How Did you Feel on the First Day of School?’
#4 ‘Our Classroom Worry Book’
I don’t read this one out loud with the class. The idea is that once a child draws their worry and it’s written in the worry book, it stays in the worry book and can’t bother them any more. I explain that if the worry bothers them they have to remember that they left it in the book. My students loved it last year! And you will be surprised… they have some very interesting worries.
