This fluency graph is designed to be monitored weekly to support IEP fluency goals. Each graph goes up to 130 words correct per minute (wcpm) counting by intervals of 5. There are nine blank columns that students will shade in once they read their fluency passage for the week. The 10th (last column) is designed for students to shade in their goal of where they should be at the end of nine weeks.
The goal is displayed in writing at the top of the graph as well as visually in the tenth column.
The Reflection Sheet provides students with a space where they can write in the words they read on that date, in they are increasing/decreasing towards their goal, and what they need to do in order to read their nine week goal.
Students love to know their goal and keeping track of their progress. Help your students increase their fluency and confidence with this self-monitoring sheet and reflection cards.
This can also be used in IEP meetings, parent/teach conferences, data meetings, and sent home with progress/interim reports.
Keep it in a binder and carry it with you or display it on your wall.
If you are working on a Professional Development Plan for student self-monitoring or assessment, this is a must use tool!
