Grab this great chart to help get your students prepared when they get back to school. The first few days of school are really important and how you manage the class will set the tone for the rest of the year. Using this chart will help students learn how to self-reflect and think critically about their behavior.
I introduce the concept of a self rating system during the first week of school when we are setting up routines and procedures. This can be used for different things like flexible seating, working independently, following directions, keeping hands and feet to yourself, etc.
I use this to focus students on how well they are learning to work independently (staying on task, not talking to their neighbor, completing their work, etc.).
