These colorful and high-interest student pages and flashcards have unique pictures to systematically teach 100 Spanish syllables. They are organized by vowel groups to help students see patterns when reading syllables. I teach my students to say the picture once, then the syllable once. The goal is that they will be able to say the picture and the syllable on their own, and then eventually the syllable without the picture. This system can be used in combination with teaching the students to blend sounds to read a syllable.
The pictures help the students remember the syllable better, improve their reading fluency, and are self-checking! These cards are especially helpful to struggling learners who have difficulty remembering individual syllables.
The following materials are included in this package:
Single pages of each vowel’s syllables with and without pictures
Student cards with and without color borders (8 on a page)
A two page guide of all the syllables for writing folders with and without pictures
Labels of plain syllables to stick or glue on the backs of cards (Avery label templates included)
You need to extract the zip file and need Adobe X Reader (free on the internet) to gain access to the materials.
