Students take notes from my writing, spelling or grammar mini-lesson or anchor chart. This can be done during or after the lesson at a center. This activity reinforces the target lesson, links past lessons to current lesson, gives student references pages for future use, and individualizes or scaffolds the lesson by adjusting the final expectations. Pages have places for more than one lesson. When you reteach a concept, the students just adds to their main page. Borders change with subject (spelling, sentences (grammar), writing. Color codes match the lessons (vowels, nouns, organization. . .). I copy the pages on the color code found on the page. These pages coordinate with the Student Journal that we put together. See the Student Journal Labels for more information and supplies. The lessons and pages allign with McGraw Hill's Wonders Reading series. Included are pages for the following lessons:
More general pages for your use.
