Student of the Week is a great way to build a classroom community. It allows everyone in the class to get to know one another a little better.
This resource can be used in a variety of different ways. Whatever is most conducive to your classroom will work for this.
I have my Student of the Week displayed on a bulletin board. My Student of the Week then fills out forms about themselves each night to share with the class. You can use as many or as few pages as you see fit for your class and grade level. At the end of the week, all of their classmates fill out a page about the Student of the Week and I take those pages plus the pages the Student of the Week filled out to make a book. It makes a wonderful keepsake for years to come.
If you don't have bulletin board space, you could simply do the pages and have the Student of the Week fill them out and share. You can keep the pages until the end of the week and make the keepsake book.
