Objective: The students will learn about Florida’s cash crops that are important to Florida’s economy
Primary Standards Addressed: LAFS.K12.SL.2.5 visual displays of data to express information and LAFS.K.SL.2.6 Being able to express feelings and SC.K.L.14.2 Recognize that some books and other media portray animals and plants with characteristics and behaviors they do not have in real life.
Materials: Construction Paper, Promethean Board, garden magazine cut outs of crops to paste on construction paper. Book: “How are you peeling?” Foods with moods.
Essential Question of the Day: What are some of Florida’s native food crops? (There are 11 cash crops) Tomatoes, Squash, Snap Beans, Lettuce, Corn, Bell Peppers, Cabbage, Potatoes, Cucumbers , Celery and Radishes.
