Need a way to help communicate to others the amazing things your students are doing in your classroom? Look no further! The Studio Habits of Mind are a great way to communicate to others about the specific learning that is taking place in your room. The Studio Thinking framework was created by Lois Hetland and her team of researchers at Harvard.
Each poster states the habit, an easy-to-understand "I Can" statement, and a simple, fun drawing that demonstrates the habit. In the black square, you can hang a picture of a "spotlight" student/students demonstrating the specific habit. I laminated mine and hot glued a small clothespin at the top of each black square so it is easy to change out pictures.
Students will think it is fun to have their pictures on display, and other adults in your building will be more aware of the amazing things students are doing in your artroom. This will be such a great advocacy tool for your program.
Set includes 8 posters that are made to print on 11 x 17 paper, but you can easily resize them to fit your needs. When printed 11 x 17, the black square is approximately 8.5 inches by 8.5 inches, which makes printing a picture that fits super easy! One of the thumbnail pictures is of my current display. Please note: the banner at the top of the bulletin board is NOT included.
