This is a literature study guide for the book titled The Return of the King, by J.R.R. Tolkien. Each section contains vocabulary exercises, questions for discussion, literature analysis, and life application/Bible connections. Extension activities and Tolkien Trivia are included. An Answer Key is provided.
This is an interactive guide that enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of the book, but it only provides space for one student to complete the fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using the guide with more than one student, check out the options:
1) Reproducibles -- they contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities:
a. When you purchase one set of reproducibles, you have permission to make a copy for each of your students.
b. An Answer Key is not provided for the reproducibles; the answers for the activities on the sheets are found at the end of the study guide.
2) Workbook Format -- room is provided for students to write answers to the questions and to complete the activities (if you purchase the guide in workbook format, you do not need the reproducibles).
The content of the guide in interactive format and in workbook format is the space -- spacing is the only difference.
Guides are also available for The Hobbit and for other books in the Lord of the Rings series:
