This is a literature guide for the books The Runaway and The Victor (the writing in the two books is very similar -- and differences are noted in the guide), by Patricia St. John. In this book, Philo, a Phoenician boy living at the time of Jesus' ministry on earth, is influenced by His teachings and miracles.
The Runaway is out of print, but may be available on some used books websites. The best option is obtaining The Victor in the Kindle edition or in paperback: The Victor
Each section of the study guide contains vocabulary exercises, questions for discussion, literature analysis, and personal applications/Bible connections. Writing exercises and extension activities are included. An Answer Key is provided.
This interactive guide enables parents/teachers to facilitate an oral discussion of this book, but it only provides space for one student to complete fill-in-the-blank activities. If you are interested in using this guide with more than one student, check out the options:
1) Reproducibles -- that contain all of the fill-in-the-blank activities:
Study Guide: The Runaway/The Victor Reproducibles
2) The guide is available in workbook format (the content of the interactive guide and the workbook guide is the same); you do not need the reproducibles if you purchase the guide in workbook format: Study Guide: The Runaway/The Victor Workbook
A free (short) biography and information about Patricia St. John's writing is available on TpT:
