“Walk like an Egyptian”…
Kids really enjoy learning about different cultures, and it’s a wonderful way for them to explore this amazing world we live in. This activity introduces students to Egyptian Hieroglyphs, the ancient form of writing in Egypt.
Students will learn about the different symbols/images that represent letters and sounds, and how these were out together to create sentences and stories. Students can then write their own name in hieroglyphs and translate some well-known words.
This activity is great as a casual resource, as well as a fast-finisher exercise.
