Time to decorate for the Fall Harvest Festival and what better way than to make a scarecrow. This Stuff the Scarecrow game challenges students to use their articulation skills to acquire all the pieces (5) of a scarecrow. Each student needs to stuff their scarecrow by getting all the pieces together. In order to acquire each part, the student must name the word/picture at the bottom of the card. You can even have the student put the word into a phrase or sentence, if they have mastered the word leve. For the game, students take turns drawing a card from the top of the pile. If you find the Scarecrow wild card, you are able to use it in place of any body part. However, you must name which body part you are using it for when you draw it. If a student says it will be the "head" and they draw a "head" card on their next turn, they can't change the wild card. If you find the pesky crow, you are able to steal a piece from another player. The first student to completely collect all their pieces to stuff their scarecrow is the winner!
Included in the Download:
* 32 /s/ cards (7 initial, 7 medial, 6 final)
* a blank page for each card deck for your own examples
* 8 wild cards
Happy Harvest Time!
**I will be posting more "decks", so each student can work on their own sounds. How awesome for multiple students! After I have posted all decks, I will also post a MEGA pack including all of the articulation sound decks at a discounted price. Check out the language version here.
