This game is like Jeopary and Mad Gab and should be used to work on Voluntary Stuttering and Desensitization. Most everyone knows Jeopardy but Mad Gab is a game where you read a weird sounding phrase/puzzle and you have to figure out the true phrase (i.e. Ask Rude Arrive Her = A screwdriver!).
Voluntary Stuttering helps children that stutter to know that they can be in CONTROL. It helps to decrease uncomfortable feelings related to stuttering, to reduce physical tension that happens with 'real' moments of stuttering, and helps people that stutter to be more open about the fact that they stutter.
I tried this out with a 5th grader and the student did well. I also played the Mad Gab game with a 2nd grader and she was able to figure out the phrases. Depending on whether or not the student has concomitant issues (i.e. receptive/expressive language deficits), this product can be used for 2nd-8th grade.
