This can be used for any reading and any level. It works wonderfully as a sub plan if they have done this once with you in class previously. Basically it is a reading activity that includes highlighting specific parts.
You will need yellow, orange, green, and blue highlighters. Give them the included instruction page and you include a reading related to the current theme or unit. Students can look for their own article from the Internet, a magazine, or a newspaper.
Print the large color graphic page to hang on the board or make posters for your room as a student visual.
