Sub plans for the busy teacher! It is very simple to just print and put these together in a folder or binder, so they are ready to go for a sub. If you are required to have emergency sub plans, these work great!
Many of the activities do not require any materials besides a chalkboard/whiteboard or dice and plain paper, and a copy of the book The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle.
There are pages provided so that you can just print and go, too! You choose the activities that work best for you and your students. This has more than enough to fill a day, even 2 days!
Activities are differentiated on 3 levels to meet the classroom needs in K-2. I recommend for K, 1, and fall of 2nd grade.

Here are the specific materials you would need to use this unit:
• copy of The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle
• Optional: rulers, nonfiction spider book
If possible, a great way to use this unit is to prepare a folder or binder in advance with all of the materials, so that you could quickly fill in the simple lesson sheet and be ready in a flash! Look at the pics in the preview to see how I have set up my binder.
If it is an emergency, it is super easy to print the lesson direction sheets, circle the activities you'd like the sub to do, leave your copy code, and go!
