Use this quick and easy subitizing game ("I Have... Who Has..?") to help your students quickly recognize dot patterns. (Subitizing is the rapid recognition of groups, such as knowing that five dots on a die is 5, without counting). It can be used whole-class to practice subitizing with numbers 0 to 10. It's perfect for morning meeting or a filler activity at the end of class.
The game includes 12 cards with dot patterns representing numbers 0 to 10. If you have more than 12 students, consider breaking the class into two smaller groups or pairing the dot patterns with finger patterns or 10 frames to ten (see my other I Have... Who Has...? games at the link below.)
Looking for a game with more cards for your whole class? Check out this game, which includes colored dots, representing each number twice.
