Subitizing is seeing a number instantly.

In order for our students to become stronger in numeracy, they need to be better at subitizing. This festive fall activity will help your students practice subitizing 0-10

You can print and laminate these to play a matching game with them. You can also put them into a tub of colored rice or pasta and have the students dig to find the ten frames. Put the numbers on cups so they can match the 10 frame to the number. There are 6 different colors to give students their own set and they might not get mixed up with another child's set.

Using 10 frames is a great way to help children see a number quickly without having to count each circle.

There is also a free set using orange pumpkins.
