This was a fantastic resource that we used in different ways over several different days to introduce and reinforce the concept of subitizing.
Description
Subitizing: With Ten Frames
Subitizing: Ten Frame flash cards. Numbers 0-20 {use 1 ten frame and additional card for numbers 11-20.
Instructions: Print on cardstock and laminate for best repeated use. Hole punch in the upper left corner, place ten frame cards on a metal ring or leave loose.
Using the set of ten frames play an activity called Ten Frame Flash! The teacher quickly flashes {shows} the students the ten frame card. After quickly showing the card and placing it back down the teacher has the students respond with what the number was.
ALSO, included is a whiteboard version! Use this as a fun and interactive way to build number sense!
