Visual representations of the numbers 0 – 12 are powerful ways to help preschool and Kindergarten students recognize and remember the quantity each numeral (number) represents, building a strong foundation for future learning in mathematics.
This Number Matching 0 – 12 activity was created for children to explore and match quantities for the numbers 0 – 12 while continuing to build understanding of those numbers at the concept level and strengthen subitizing ability with various forms of materials. As children utilize the quantities on the patterns cards, they will begin to put sets together and compose those patterns into higher numbers.
The packet includes 8.5” x 11” 0 – 12 number (numeral) cards with color or black & white printing options along with 0 -12 pattern cards for dice, tally marks, counting fingers, dominos, ten-frames, and number word cards. There is also a printing option for pattern card backs and sample questions to ask the children so you can address some of those Standards for Mathematical Practice!
