Begin the year or work with your PreK or toddler on recognizing sets with automaticity and match them to numerals. Included in this packet is
-an explanation of what subitizing is and why we need to know about it;
- 4 different games including one game with three versions as students gain understanding (or if you need to differentiate- one with dots, one with numbers in order, and one with mixed up numbers- to number 6); one game using ten frames and another practicing counting
-cards with dots and numbers to use with games and also as flash cards if you would like
-one page of extra game pieces
I have found that sometimes the simplest games are the ones students enjoy the most. These would be great transition games if you only have 5 minutes or need an extra math game/math center!
Homeschoolers/At home Mamas/Parents wanting to do more at home: I made this thinking of you as well. Something fun to spice up your afternoon!
