As we all know students struggle with subject-verb agreement. This confusion affects their oral communication and their written work.
These 32 task cards in Set 2, were created to help students further their understanding of subject-verb agreement. A short sentence starter is presented and students are asked to complete the sentence. An answer sheet is provided to check responses.
Included in this product is a teaching chart that explains when to use singular and plural verbs. In addition, the same sentences used on the task cards are also written out for students to use as a written language activity.
In class, I begin by discussing the rules regarding the usage of singular and plural verb forms. Then I use the task cards to practice this skill. Finally, the worksheets requiring a written response are used to measure progress and students' learning.
1. Copy the cards on cardstock, cut and laminate
