Subject and Predicate Race : Need a quick and engaging way to get your students to practice finding the simple and complete predicate and subject or a sentence?
Then here is your answer. I created this game to help the students in my writing classes and it has been a huge hit!
Students draw a card that tells them which part of the sentence to identify. Next, they turn over a sentence card and tell the group the answer. If they are correct, they move the number of spaces indicated on the card. If they get it wrong they lose their turn.
With lots of suggestions on how to use this game, you are sure to find a place for it in your center time, homework folder, or as a heated class competition.
Start those engines and get racing!
