This Sentences Structure: Subjects and Predicates BUNDLE includes all three units of the best-selling 'Subjects and Predicates' series at a savings for you.
Unit 1: Understanding starts at the very earliest introduction of sentences. Once sentences can be recognized as making sense because of the word order, the parts of sentences are introduced. The 'naming' and 'telling' parts of sentences are practiced and then the terms 'subject' and 'predicate' are introduced. This attention to the very basics has helped little ones move on to building sentences with more confidence.
Unit 2: Sentence Building continues practice with subjects and predicates, further developing the knowledge that every sentence must have two parts. Sentence building begins by choosing a subject or predicate that makes sense in a sentence. This is followed by practice creating a subject or a predicate using words in a Word Bank.
Unit 3: Adding Details introduces the addition of ‘details’ to sentences with adjectives, adverbs and prepositional phrases. While not using the parts of speech terms, adjectives ‘salt the subject’ and adverbs and prepositional phrases ‘pepper the predicate.’ By the end of this unit, students should understand how to create interesting sentences.
All 3 units use the same format for continuity. Please click through the 'preview' above to see complete contents of each package. Or, purchase separately if that would better fit the needs of your classroom.
