PART TWO OF A BEST SELLER: Understanding about the subject and predicate makes sentence building fun and easy for kindergarten and 1st grade ELA and ESL students. Teach these parts of a sentence to build a foundation for good writing structure. Unit 1 teaches basic understanding of the naming and telling parts of a sentence. Unit 2 practices the basics with sentence building. Unit 3 teaches how to make sentences more interesting by adding details.
Sentence building begins by choosing a subject or predicate that makes sense in a sentence. This is followed by practice creating a subject or a predicate using words in a Word Bank. There is also a ‘bonus section’ with this product which isolates verbs in preparation for the next step of creating simple noun/verb sentences that will be used for elaboration.
Included in this Unit 2 package:
review anchor charts from unit 1
new subject/predicate anchor chart in color and B/W
6 practice pages (black & white)
2 center activities in color and B/W
17 word wall words (verbs)
