Submarine Subtraction is a 2-player game that allows students to practice solving subtraction equations. The players take turns rolling one die to determine the missing number to make an equation true. Players search the game board for the subtraction equation that requires the number rolled before covering it with a colored counter. The first player to cover four equations in a row - vertically, horizontally, or diagonally - wins the game. A great activity to use as whole class or as part of a math center. Submarine Subtraction meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics.
