: If you going to be away from school for a day, your students will love filling out this fun substitute poster called, "Mrs./Mr./Ms _________ is missing."
You will enjoy returning to see what they have written.
This is a perfect writing activity while you are out. It can also make for a perfect way to end a day with a sub. It will quiet them down as they think about what to write.
They will have fun themselves using this 8.5 x 11 substitute poster. These would make a fun bulletin board display, and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.
The poster activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color and through their writing.
*You could even leave the read aloud book called Miss Nelson is Missing.
The sections for the students to fill out on the substitute poster are:
*Place for name
*Title: they fill in the teacher's name
*I cannot believe you are missing from school. If I could send you a text message, I would tell you.....
*Where are you? Are you at the doctor? How about the spa? I'm really not sure what you are doing, but this is how I think you are spending your day.....
*Illustration of the teacher on the 'wanted' sign.
*Wanted!! The return of my teacher to the classroom. Here is her description...
---- finish the 6 sentence starters
*When your teacher is absent, you should never....you should always.....You should remember.... You should definitely....
You should help.....You should be.....
Don't forget to check out the other posters I have available. I have one for most holidays. They look so nice on a bulletin board or hanging outside the classroom. I get so many compliments on them.
