Every teacher has to plan for those times when he/she has to be out of his/her classrooms. Sometimes it might be for a short meeting lasting an hour or two and other times you have to miss a full day.
We noticed that most products for sale are designed to cover entire days and in some cases a whole week. So we went to work to design not only a product that was a bit different, but one that teachers would say, "THAT'S JUST WHAT I NEED WHEN PLANNING FOR MY SUB!"
We know that all of you have regular routines established for each day that might include a music class, an art lesson, physical education class, or even a class meeting. Because these are important parts of your days and fill some of the time you will be gone, you don't need every minute of the day planned for you.
However, most teachers would love a good reading lesson already planned for their class that matches skills and expectations for your grade level. That is exactly what our product will do:
*provide meaningful learning
*match students skill level in the spring
*require minimal prep
*easy for your substitute to understand and teach
These reading substitute plans include activities for Comprehension, Word Work, and Writing. That is definitely more than you could use for one reading period. You can choose exactly what makes sense for you and your students.
You will be pleased when you return to your classroom and see that your students' learning continued just as you hoped! Be ready with our Reading Plans for the Spring.
