**FREEBIE!!** Yay! :) *Special thanks go out to Hazel Owl for the cute dot background paper! http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Polka-Dot-Digital-Paper-Set-Graphics-for-Teachers-400553
This is a FREE download for a set of pages you can print and fill out for your substitute teacher. I use this by printing out a copy at the beginning of the year, then copying my class schedule, general info, fire drill procedures, and the names of helpful nearby teachers & helpful students onto the pages. I put everything into a binder, which I keep out on the shelf next to my desk. All that's left when I need to be out is to type up or write down a quick copy of my lesson plans, and stick them in the binder.
I also identify a reliable student early in the year and show him/her where the binder is kept, and I also share this info with next-door teachers. If I have to be out on short notice or emergency leave, I know I don't need to worry, because everything is ready and the student & teacher will be able to show the sub where this information is kept. (I do keep a supply of emergency plans handy in the back of the binder, as well!)
Hope you enjoy! Thanks! ~Kristy Gross
