Product Description
Those of us who teach refugees and other immigrants know that our students need a little extra love and care! PTSD and Toxic Stress can be huge challenge for our students, yet these challenges are rarely understood! As a Newcomer teacher, I created this guide to make sure my students were safe, cared for, and understood when a substitute teacher was in charge of our class. I hope it will help you feel a little bit better about leaving your class in the hands of a substitute!

This “Substitute Teacher Trauma Guide” provides information about what triggers a trauma response, what a trauma response might look like, how the teacher can help, how the teacher can prevent a response, and who the teacher can call for help. The guide is fully editable so you can adapt it to meet the needs of your own students and school!

Fully editable using Microsoft Word or Google Slides.

Plan for your students’ success! English, Please is focused on helping Newcomers (English Language Learners), Special Education students, and young children learn about the community around them! Help students understand and utilize the resources around them, including the grocery store, public library, and more!
